Privacy notice

In brief: no cookies, no analytics. We hold only what you choose to email to the trade desk, and we handle it under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law.

1. Who this notice covers

PT GMC Trading Indonesia (NIB 1408260055631), registered in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, is the controller of the personal data described here. This notice covers this website and the commercial correspondence that reaches our desks through it. It is not part of any sales contract.

We process personal data in line with Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP) and its implementing regulations.

2. No cookies, no tracking

The site places no cookies, keeps no identifier in your browser, and loads no analytics, advertising, heat-mapping or fingerprinting code. Your visit is not reported to any third-party measurement service.

With nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner. Should we ever introduce measurement, this notice will be revised first.

3. The quotation form — what it actually does

The request-for-quotation form on the contact page asks for your company, name, email address and country, plus the particulars of the requirement: division, product and grade, quantity, delivery term, destination, delivery window and preferred payment terms.

At present the form does not transmit anything. Once submitted, the details stay in your browser tab to display a confirmation and are then discarded when the page is closed; they are not sent to us, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. To make sure an enquiry reaches the desk, email it to rfq@gmctrade.ing. If the form is later connected to a delivery service, this section will be updated before that happens.

4. What you send us by email

An email to one of our desks gives us whatever it contains — usually a name, a company, contact details and the commercial terms of a requirement. We use it to reply, to prepare offers and contracts, to arrange inspection and freight, and to meet the legal obligations that come with cross-border trade.

Before quoting we screen counterparties. This can involve checking your organisation's name, and the names of people authorised to sign for it, against public sanctions and restricted-party lists.

5. Grounds for processing

Under UU PDP we rely on the following grounds: fulfilling a contract with you, or taking steps you have asked for before one is made; meeting our legal obligations, including customs, tax, sanctions and anti-money-laundering rules; and our legitimate interest in running a trading business and assessing who we deal with. Where none of these applies, we will ask for your consent.

6. Who receives it

Carrying out a trade means some details must go to others: producers and suppliers, surveyors and inspection companies, forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers (PPJK), insurers and the banks handling a documentary credit. Each receives only what its role requires.

We never sell personal data and never pass it on for advertising or marketing.

7. Transfers outside Indonesia

Trade crosses borders, so data tied to a shipment is normally handled in Indonesia and in the countries of origin, destination and transit. We transfer personal data abroad only as far as the trade or a legal obligation requires, and with the safeguards UU PDP calls for.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept while the enquiry is open and for a sensible period after, in case it comes back. Records of completed trades — contracts, certificates, shipping and customs papers, screening results — are kept for as long as Indonesian commercial, tax and customs record-keeping rules require.

9. Your rights

UU PDP gives you the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted or its processing restricted, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis. Send any request to info@gmctrade.ing. We may need to confirm your identity first, and will tell you if a legal retention duty stops us from deleting something.

10. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS and holds no database of visitors, accounts or submissions. Business correspondence is kept in company email, open only to the people who need it. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please do not email card details or similarly sensitive information.

11. Updates

Any material change — cookies, analytics, or a form that sends data to a server — will be published here before it takes effect.
